These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") set out the agreement between you ("the client") and FlickASwitch ("we", "us", or "our") for the use of our website and the provision of electrical, renovation, and associated trade services.

1. About Us

FlickASwitch is a sole trader business based in Magor, Monmouthshire, offering qualified electrical services, home renovation work, and multi-trade solutions to residential and small commercial clients across South Wales and the South West.


2. Website Use

You may use our website for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You agree not to:

- Copy, distribute, or modify website content without prior written consent

- Interfere with the functionality, security, or availability of the website

- Use the site in a way that violates laws or infringes on rights

- We reserve the right to update or remove content from the website at any time.


3. Quotes & Estimates

- All quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days.

- Quotes are based on the information provided at the time and may be revised if the scope of work changes after a site visit or during the job.

- Written acceptance (via email or signed agreement) is required before any work is scheduled.


4. Bookings & Payment

- A deposit may be required to confirm your booking. This will be outlined in your quotation.

- Full payment is due upon completion of the agreed work, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

- Payment is accepted via bank transfer or another pre-agreed method.

- Late payments may be subject to interest or additional fees in accordance with UK late payment legislation.


5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

- Clients may cancel or reschedule up to 7 days before the agreed start date at no charge.

- Cancellations with less than 7 days’ notice may incur a fee to cover lost time and rebooking.

- We reserve the right to reschedule in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as illness, adverse weather, or material delays.


6. Workmanship & Quality

- All work is carried out to a professional standard using appropriate materials and in line with relevant UK regulations and safety standards.

- If you have any concerns about the quality of work, please raise them during or immediately after completion. We will make every effort to resolve issues quickly and fairly.-

- We hold full public liability insurance and operate with a strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and customer respect at all times.


7. Limitations of Liability

While every effort is made to protect your property and complete work to schedule, we are not liable for:

- Pre-existing faults or damage to surfaces or electrical systems

- Delays caused by external suppliers, weather, or events outside our control

- Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses due to delays or service issues

Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for the specific job.


8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website — including logos, images, text, and layout — is the property of FlickASwitch or its content providers. It may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission.


9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the services we provide will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
